The tides come in and the tides go back out. The result of this oscillation leaves some pretty interesting, albeit slippery places to explore. Teva designed its Women's Churn Shoe to be an ultralight, sure-footed, and water-friendly way for you to get a close-up view of those places where land meets water. The super-grippy Spider outsole grabs provides traction over slippery, seaweed-covered rocks, and the breathable mesh upper drains water and dries quickly so you can transition as easily as the changing tides.

Comfortable except inside scratchy : Teva Women's Churn Water Shoe,Lettuce Green,7 M US
I was looking for a shoe that I could use while hiking and be able to cross streams and not have to worry about slipping on a rock, or sopping wet sneakers the rest of the hike. We go camping a lot on the river bank, so the non-slip aspect was probably the most leading thing for me. They excelled in that department. I went water walking along the rocks the first day I got them and they were great. Good traction even on the wet rocks. I got them to replace my merrel "barefoot" hiking shoes which were slippery as ice once they got wet. So there's the one inevitable (other than the fact that they actually are cute shoes)
The negatives:
-Itchy! other reviewer also said they were itchy inside, and they weren't kidding. I ended up having to wear socks with them because they irritated my itsybitsy toe so bad. I also got blisters on the backs of my heels. I'm hoping to wear them a few times and maybe "break them in" not sure if that will help.
-Never dry!! They advertise them as quick drying. Well I wore them on the first day of camping, and by the third day they were still soaking wet. They seem like they would dry well, they are mesh like. But they don't. I kept having to put on wet shoes everytime I wanted to wear them. (I wore them four wheelering trying to break them in since I wouldn't have to walk in them, since I had blisters from them at this point)
-Have to wear socks! So I mentioned this above, but wearing socks defeats the purpose of water shoes.
I wanted to love these shoes so much. I am still going to give them a chance, but my feet are still trying to recover. If they were more comfortable they would be exquisite since the traction is so good on these things!!
Good Luck!
